The Store March 3-8

Good morning well the weather has turned up trumps after indications that we might not be going to get a nice week but the suns out and the wind isnt too bad and the fishing is still consistent.

This week will be a busy one with the run up to the Iron man/woman event that is in taupo over the weekend, but it means that the rivers will be free and easy.

We have had a little bit of rain but not enough to really make any difference, with the wind drying what we have had very quickly and the forecast for the next few days appears that we are going to have a really settled patch.

Those that have fished the rivers fishing to the conditions have done okay with fish still on the surface and taking emergers as well.

We have had a little bit of a cooler start for a couple of mornings and with that we have always a few more fish moving which is a great sign. There are also a few fish that are begining to turn up at the mouths at last.

Night time fishing is still very slow and will be until it gets a bit cooler. There is little in the way of weather that indicates that its going to change over the next few days.

Lake fishing is still okay with fishing first thing prior to the sun being on the water.
