The Store report for Sept 2-6
Good morning, well its really is quite cool this morning with a southerly change in the forecast and some rainfall over night, snow down quite low over the next couple of days so for those that are keen to fish the weekend is looking very good.

We have had little rain this week though the water table, lake and rivers are all holding a considerable amount of water and we really dont need too much in the way of rain to alter things. The change to the south which will bring snow may mean that the rain is pushed off to the east and we are spared, lets hope so. The weekend is meant to be reasonable with some sunshine in the forecast so lets hope that is the case.

The anglers that have fished this week have had so much water and variety and the fishing has really been good with few anglers disappointed. Those that are a little unsure of volume and there is a lot of volume at present have found it a little more challenging but generally fishing has been good. Fishing your feet and the inside seam of the lies has produced the most fish, with fish holding off the heavy water and reasonable colour helping those fish moving.

Fish are certainly holding right throughout the rivers with the heavier volumes, we having to follow the fish through prior to the heavier water. Naturals during the day and glowbugs first and last have been the way to go, check leader length and dont over compensate weight wise.

River mouths have had little pressure as the rivers have fished, though for those that have fished the good cloud cover and rips have held fish, a great deal of food off the river mouths provided by the larger volumes of water from rainfall has meant fish havent had to move far. Smaller mouths have fished more consistantly than the heavier rips.

The lake fishing has been good with ideal conditions little wind and calmer conditions though the weather forecast indicates that we will get some gusty wind over the next day or so, that often doesnt eventuate so keep an eye on whats happening. Fish are holding at about 20 mtrs and there are fish early morning and late evening on the surface.

Take care on the water and feel free to call for an update and or accommodation cheers stella 073868953
